You do not need to be researching ancestors in Story County, Iowa, to join SCGS. Most of our members do not have local ancestors! We're a group of people who enjoy genealogy, the thrill of the ancestral chase, learning new ways of researching, and sharing our discoveries with kindred genealogists. We are a blend of beginners, intermediate, and seasoned researchers. We love to "talk genealogy" and may be able to assist you in your research. Come join us.
